The Vietnamese are very health conscious people.

Very little obesity exists and we hope it is going to stay that way !!

People exercise everywhere, for more photos check out Hoan Kiem Lake section, most of these photos were taken around the Truc Bach Lake area as I lived there.

Early mornings are busy on the streets from 5am, ‘if you snooze you lose’, so get up early and join the fun  !!

Hacky Sack

A popular game which needs no court, can be place with 2 or more people and an easy item to carry around with you.  Games pop up everywhere.

This game like hacki-sack is played with a shuttle cock that has a long or short cylinder like base then feathers at the end. Keeping the shuttle cock going takes much skill as you have to use any part of your body other than your hands.

Walking

Getting up early and going for a walk around a park or lake is considered a daily practice like cleaning ones teeth. Mostly people from the age of 35 upwards take to the streets keeping fit in the morning; during other times people from all ages hit the streets.

As walkers hit the streets sometimes it becomes congested like the roads.
